Euonymus jap. ‘Bravo’

Euonymus japonicus 'Bravo' is an evergreen ornamental shrub, prized for its decorative, bicolor foliage and for its versatility in landscaping.

 Main features

• Foliage: glossy, oval, dark green leaves with cream-white edges, very decorative throughout the year

• Port: compact, dense, of moderate growth

• Dimensions: generally reaches 1–1.5 m in height and width (can be kept smaller by pruning)

• Flowers: small, discrete, white-green, appear in summer; the main ornamental value remains the leaf

 Planting conditions and care

• Exposure: sun or partial shade (the color of the leaves is more intense in good light)

• Soil: well drained, fertile, slightly moist; it also adapts well to ordinary garden soils

• Watering: moderate; tolerates short periods of drought after installation

• Resistance: good in the cold (suitable for the climate of the Republic of Moldova), resistant to urban pollution

• It holds up very well trimming, being ideal for:

  • geometric shapes (topiary)

  • group or solitary plantings

  • containers and large planters
