Chamaecyparis Globosa

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Globosa' is a dwarf and compact variety of Lawson cypress, prized for its round, dense shape and the deep green color of its needles. It is ideal for small gardens, borders or for compositions with other conifers.

Main features:

• Form: globular, compact, slow growing.

• Height: can reach up to 1–2 m after 10–15 years, very slow.

• Width: approximately equal to the height, forming an almost perfect globe.

• Coverage: dense covering of green needles, fine and soft to the touch.

• Exposure: prefers sun or partial shade; it also tolerates less fertile, but well-drained soils.

• Maintenance: very reduced; does not require cutting, only possibly to maintain the ideal shape.

• Resistance: to frost and wind, but sensitive to excess moisture at the root.

This variety is perfect for Japanese gardens, topiary arrangements or as a visual accent in modern gardens due to its symmetrical and compact shape.
