General description

Leylandii formed on the trunk is a evergreen conifer grafted or driven so as to have:

• straight trunk, clean, usually 80–180 cm tall

• compact, globular or conical crown in the upper part

It is a decorative variant frequently used for:

• architectural accents

• entrances, alleys, terraces

• modern or small gardens where a bushy plant at the base is not desired

Dimensions

• rapid growth: 30–60 cm/year

• in standard form, the crown is held at 0.8–1.5 m wide

• the total height depends on the trunk: usually 2–3.5 m at maturity
  (can be controlled by cuts)

Appearance

• foliage: deep green, sickle-shaped, dense

• fine, overlapping branches with elegant texture

• crown easy to shape into shape round, oval or conical

Cultivation conditions

✅ full sun or penumbra (best color in light)
✅ Well-drained soil, slightly acid-neutral
✅ Regular watering in the first 2-3 years
✅ Mulching at the base (do not bury the neck of the trunk)
