Leylandii Blue Jeans (block form)

Cupressocyparis leylandii 'Blue Jeans' is one evergreen conifer, ornamental, a variety of Leylandii appreciated especially for the blue-green color of the foliage .

Growth: Fast but slightly slower than standard Leylands.
Rusticity: Cold tolerant (~-15 °C to -20 °C)

Growing conditions

Exposure: Sun or bright light; also tolerates semi-shade.
Soil: It prefers well-drained soils; tolerates different types (clay, loam, sandy) if they do not stay soaked in water.
Watering: Moderate — tolerates drought once well established.

 Care and uses

• Trimming/Maintenance: Trim at least once or twice a year to maintain shape and control height; pruning should not be done on old leafless wood, as new buds will not start from there.

• Geometric cut shape (block shape), is perfect for terraces.
